Every now and then you have a couple that just can’t help but smile when they are near each other. Bridie and Connor exuded this joy on their wedding day – even I couldn’t help but smile in their presence! Their Country Club wedding in Chicago area was the perfect summer fete – full of fun, joy, and love.
Campus Crush
Bridie and Connor met freshman year at SLU playing intramural volleyball, stayed close friends throughout the first couple years of college and took turns having secret crushes on each other. They finally started dating their junior year and the rest is history. Their first date was dinner at a restaurant in St. Louis! Connor also likes to say their first unofficial date was in a dining hall at SLU.
Can Hardly Wait
Bridie and Connor got engaged in Forest Park in St. Louis. Connor had a picnic set up and that lasted about 5 minutes until he couldn’t wait any longer and proposed. Bridie’s best friend was hiding in the bushes taking pictures of the whole thing, which is so sweet!
A Few Of Their Favorite Things
Bridie and Connor, above all, just love to spend time together. But some of their favorite activities are as follows: Go to the movies, trying new restaurants and exploring the cities they live in, visiting their families, getting competitive at Painting with a Twist, spending time with their college friends, and spending time outdoors. And speaking of those college friends – they had a great group of their friends at the Country Club wedding in Chicago. It made for such a fun day!
In Their Own Words
I asked Bridie and Connor what their favorite thing about the other person was. This was their response.
Connor – “I like her sense of humor the most. She has such a kind heart, is supportive, and always makes me smile.”
Bridie- “Connor cares about everyone so much and constantly is thinking about little things to do to make me happy. He is loved by everyone because of his optimistic personality and sweet nature.”
When asked to describe their relationship in a sentence, this is what they said: “We were best friends before we started dating and that fun, easy friendship has always been the most important part of our relationship.”
Country Club Wedding in Chicago
Bridie and Connor live in St. Louis, so they traveled to Chicago with their friends and family for the wedding day. In addition to all the loved ones in attendance, the Lough family priest (from Ohio) was also on hand to join these two in their marriage union.
Peaceful, Easy Feeling
Bridie and Connor are laid-back people – chill, easy-going go-with-the-flow. Their families were also really sweet, creating a peaceful and joyful tone for the whole day. It was obvious to see why Bridie and Connor were the happiest spending time with their friends and family. Whether that was on the party bus, taking photos with their loved ones, or on the dance floor, everyone was just so happy to be together having a good time.
