My favorite part about my business is being able to work with such talented and fun peers. It’s even better when they’ve become your friends. Kat and Mary Grace at Willrett Flower Co. are some of the brightest lights in this industry. This sister duo is as fun as they are talented, and every time we work together it’s beautiful and full of laughter – and our spring floral editorial was no different.
The Curate Sessions
Kat and I dreamed of hosting mini-styled shoots for creatives back pre-COVID. This dream has been in the works for over two years. We created the Curate Sessions as a way for photographers and videographers to create beautiful content to help elevate and curate their portfolios. The end goal would be for these creatives to have work to help them attract their ideal clients who value beautiful design with amazing creative planners and florists.
Willrett Flower Co. Storefront
We held our spring floral editorial at the ladies’ new storefront in Dekalb, Illinois. If you have not had a chance to check out their new space, make time to do so. It’s going to be such a fun place for workshops, buying florals and gifts, and for them to create beautiful artworks for weddings and events.
Spring Floral Editorial Vendors
We had the privilege to team up with some of the top picks in the industry for this editorial. We always enjoy working with Bianca Sansosti and her team. They’re some of the most talented makeup and hair artists and are a pleasure to work with. Our model, Nerissa, looked like the best-elevated version of herself. The invitations were the perfect nod to spring. Lauren at Lively House and Home created a beautiful suite with a soft spring and gold palette.
When it came to the cake, I knew we had to bring Bria at Flourish Cake Design. Bria is a creative genius when it comes to wedding cakes. Each cake she creates is better than her last. For wedding fashion, we always love working with the ladies at Simply Luxe to show off Susan Samway’s line, Susan Samway Bridal. We love how Bria took inspiration from the gown for the cake. And rounding out our team, Kelly LaFleur captured each moment with her classic yet modern artistic films.
