Coralville Marriott Hotel Iowa Wedding

Oct 11, 2019

“We found love in a hopeless place”. That was what she said in one of her first emails to me.

I was so so excited to receive that email from Tori! University of Iowa grads getting married back where it all started 7 years ago in Iowa City, Iowa!

Tori and Steven met at a frat party when they were both students at the University of Iowa. It was in that frat basement where they met, had their first conversation, and started their forever together. It was so much fun to be back in Iowa City with them for their day!

The wedding was at the Coralville Marriott Hotel in Iowa! Although gloomy, Tori, Steven and all of their loved ones helped keep the day bright and happy!

I think my favorite part about first looks is just the pure excitement and happiness that comes from them!!! No matter how my grooms react, it’s always so sweet and special! It was no different for Tori and Steven! The pure joy and tears as a result.

Tori and Steven got lots of good luck on their wedding day with all of the rain we had. So instead of taking photos on the University of Iowa’s pentacrest… we decided to hangout on the west side for portraits at Hancher! This building made for the perfect spot for photos!

I love how not two ceremonies are a like! These readings, a group prayer, and lots and lots of smiling going on!

And there ain’t not party like an Iowa City party!!! Tori and Steven truly had such a sweet, wonderful day. It was perfect in every way from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. And as always, Go Hawks!
