Winter Glenview Illinois Wedding

Nov 6, 2018

Becky and Tony were an amazing end to my 2018 wedding season with their gorgeous winter wedding! They had an Assyrian wedding ceremony at St. Andrew’s Parish and then celebrated with all their friends and family after at the Delta Hotel in Glenview!

I started my day arriving at Becky’s sisters house. Everyone was hanging out in the basement for hair and makeup. They were all so kind and welcoming. Becky welcomed me with hugs and hospiality, offering me food and drinks. Once hair and makeup was finished we got Becky in into her gorgeous gown from Diane’s Bridal with the help of her sister. The two giggled the whole time and her niece and nephews watched their mom zip the gown.  Then it was off to the church!

Tony was so so so happy and excited to see Becky coming down the aisle. There was a smile on everyone’s face during their ceremony. It truly was a joyful afternoon.

After Becky & Tony officially became husband and wife, we went to The Grove in Glenview for portraits and family formals. Aka literally the best place to take photos amongst the fall colors! The two of them made light hearted jokes with each other the whole time. It was my first time photographing them and they were amazing!! And her fur shawl made the photos on point!

Becky and Tony are so kind, fun, funny and good humored together.

The reception was at the Delta Hotel. Everyone was so excited to eat and get the party started. Their wedding was a gorgeous navy and champagne color palette. Becky and Tony opted for a low key Assyrian wedding, but that didn’t stop Tony’s family from keeping with the tradition of dancing around the couple to Assyrian music with joy!

Assyrian weddings are so much fun and full of so much joy and celebration!

Tony’s best man speech by his brother Adam didn’t leave a dry eye. It was so amazing to see how close the two of them were with his brother and his brother’s wife. One of my favorite parts of the reception was when Becky and her dad invited her sister and mom to join the father daughter dance. After that, the night was full of hits, old and new along with Assyrian music.

I had so much fun at this wedding and I’m so honored to have been their photographer!!
