Let me start off by saying that Rachel is one of the most sweet and fun person you will ever meet! Rachel is absolutely gorgeous and was AH-MAZING in front of the camera! Taking photos with her was a great time! I am so glad she asked me to take her senior pictures after she saw Sydney and Jimmy’s photos I did a few weeks ago! We had the most beautiful weather this past weekend too. The Pentacrest and Downtown Iowa City were flooded with people and photographers taking prom pictures, wedding pictures, graduation pictures, and senior pictures. It was the perfect day to be out for this occasion! Also can we talk about how adorable Rachel’s outfits were? PERFECT.
Rachel is graduating from the University of Iowa this weekend! 4 years of fun, friendships, classes, laughs, and maybe even some tears at times at this university. Rachel will be receiving her Bachelor of Arts in English. Not only that, but she will have a minor in Ancient Civilizations as well as a certificate in Museum Studies. WOW!!
In her free time she could be found hanging out with her friends, working with Love Your Melon, and exploring Iowa city. She was also in Alpha Phi and Phi Sigma Pi during her 4 years as well! When I asked Rachel what she will miss about college, she said “EVERYTHING!”. I don’t blame her, being a senior graduating this weekend myself, I can agree that Iowa is a lot of fun and there can be lots of great memories made here. It is hard to pinpoint what you will miss and what was your favorite.
Rachel is going to be working for a film festival out in Wyoming after graduation, which sounds like the coolest job ever. Some of her bucket list items were to go bungee jumping/sky diving, learn the piano and cello, walk the Great Wall of China, and scuba dive on the great barrier reef. I think she’ll be able to get those done in no time!
Thank you so much for having me be your photographer! You rocked it! You are super sweet and fun and I know you will do great things after college! Have tons of fun in Wyoming. And remember, once a Hawkeye, always a Hawkeye 😉 Good luck and have lots of fun!!! 🙂 Congratulations!!
